Who is responsible

Technical connection data

When your browser requests a page, image, font, or other asset, the server receives your IP address and request information. This may include the time, requested URL, response status, browser information, and referring page where your browser supplies it. Connection information may be recorded in access or error logs. There is no requirement to provide account details or other personal information to browse the website.

Purpose and legal basis

We process connection information to deliver the website, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and protect its availability and security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website under GDPR Article 6(1)(f), balanced against your rights. We do not use connection data for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

Hosting and recipients

The website is hosted on a Hetzner VPS in Germany, within the European Union. Hetzner provides the hosting infrastructure. The operator may access technical logs for administration and security; competent authorities may receive information where legally required. Website images, scripts, styles, and fonts are served from this website. Browsing it does not initiate requests to Google Fonts or the linked ventures. No third-party analytics or embedded services are included, and the website does not intentionally transfer visitor data outside the European Economic Area.

Retention

Routine connection logs are retained for one month. Information relevant to a specific security incident or legal obligation may be kept longer only as necessary to investigate the incident or meet that obligation, then deleted.

Email correspondence

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use this to answer your request, based on our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence; GDPR Article 6(1)(b) applies where the exchange concerns steps you request before a contract, and Article 6(1)(c) applies where required to fulfil a legal obligation, including handling data protection requests. Email is handled by the email providers involved in delivery and storage, separately from the VPS. Correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to handle the request and any applicable legal obligations or claims. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. Portability applies to automated processing based on consent or contract; it generally does not apply to security logs processed on legitimate interests. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

How to make a request

Contact steliosvitzi@gmail.com. Requests are generally free, and we reply without undue delay, normally within one month. Complex or numerous requests may require up to two additional months; we will explain any extension within the first month. We may ask for limited information if reasonably necessary to verify your identity. We do not collect extra identifiers solely to identify website visitors.

Complaints

You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority in Greece or a supervisory authority where you habitually live, work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.
